Hampton Inn Detroit/Auburn Hills South

While our stay was good, Luis at the front desk was wonderful, I was disappointed in the lack of a hot tub. In the pictures it shows a hot tub in the pool area. Pictures should be updated when big changes like that take place. Breakfast was good. Your basic continental breakfast. Food was hot so that was good The electricity went out for 30-60 seconds in the morning, while my family and I were relaxing and watching TV, which was a bummer. I hope it doesn't happen often.

The rooms are clean and spacious. If you are staying for several days this place only cleans the room upon request so if you need towels, soap, trash taken out, or you bed made then make sure you request housekeeping. I stayed for 5 days and housekeeping never entered the room. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. Also, the showers leave more to be desired, the shower heads are extremely low flow so it may take a little longer than expected.

Very professional management and operating location. I stayed at this property for a week while my mom had surgery and was recovering due to her home being unavailable. From the moment I called the property to checking in, extending our stay and checking out, the entire team was fantastic. While I don't have all of there names, Janice and Louis were very helpful along with others that worked in the afternoons, evenings and at night. The gentleman running the breakfast was also very service oriented and helpful. Thank you all for your support and concerns while we stayed here.

Joseph at the front desk was awesome, the rest eh. This hotel is in a good safe location which is important in the Pontiac/Detroit area with the Only downside is there's not many restaurants right by it, not a big issue for me but may be for some.

Janice was an absolute angel. Hands down I’ll never be able to express my gratitude for her and the amazing woman she is! Hilton needs to recognize her as well, they are blessed to have her on their staff!! Thanks again Janice!

We want to initially thank Janice at the reception desk for all of her wonderful customer care! We were travelling with our daughter and grandson and called in advance with questions and spoke to helpful Janice, so we were pleasantly surprised when she was there to check us in too. The rooms are a little dated, but a very clean and quiet location, with a great breakfast.

Hotel is outdated, however nice and clean. I have asthma so upon walking into the hotel there is such a strong sense of either cologne, or powder Carpet Fresh, that each time I walked through the lobby my asthma would flare up. The beds are slightly outdated as well they're a little on the hard side and you can tell they've been worn, however there are no bed bugs and that's a great thing in my book. The staff is all very friendly very professional, the pool was perfect as far as the temperature goes and the towels are really nice when you get out they're not the cheap thin towels that some hotels have. Overall it was a decent place to stay not the best Hampton I've been in. Although breakfast Is complementary, if you're looking for a healthy alternative go to a restaurant. Most HI I stay at have homeade oatmeal, this one however has instant packages, definitely something I can't eat.

The hotel is very accommodating. Had a funeral in Michigan and we got together for early breakfast and then the venue. The Celebration of life was quite an event.
